Computer Technology

What is it? Computer hardware, game systems, 3D printing….Computer Technology students will learn about hardware and software; computer interfacing, programming and networking; analog and digital electronics and robotics. Students will learn about the components of a computer and other electronics. You will assemble, repair, and configure computers with various types of operating systems and application software. Students learn about electronic circuits and how to write computer programs to control peripheral devices or robots.


Why would I take it? It is hard not to have computers in our world in the 21st century. Most businesses and even homes have several computer devices and more and more networking has become a necessity to run all aspects of your system efficiently. Having a basic understanding of the hardware behind computers can come in handy no matter what your career is. Plus learning how to take apart a computer and put it back together, who wouldn’t want to know how to do that? Students who like games and gaming - gamers would love this course.
