Manufacturing Technology

What is it? Machinist, metal work, welding….Manufacturing Technology is the transformation of materials into products to meet human needs and wants. Manufacturing technology courses provide you with hands-on opportunities to acquire knowledge and skills in the areas of mechanical engineering, robotics and control systems, computer-aided manufacturing, industrial maintenance, precision machining, welding, and sheet metal Through these hands-on projects, students will learn how to design and fabricate their own projects using the various new tools and equipment skills they have acquired.

Why would I take it? Students interested in becoming involved in the trades, a technician, technologist or engineer would highly benefit from the skills developed in these courses. These courses will benefit every pathway be it apprenticeship, college, university or the workplace.
