SafetyNET TPJ Ambulatory Aids Body Mechanics

Description

TPJ3M1 - This unit helps deliver the basics of body mechanics used in health care settings. The unit is also applicable for TPJ4M1. It should take approximately 2 x 75 minute lessons, however with extensions and accommodations or ESL challenges, it may require an extra day to ensure student comprehension. These lessons can be delivered with any class size, usually 24. Teachers should allot extra time for larger classes for skill demonstration and mastery. The goal of this unit is to teach students the basics of good body mechanics used in health care settings and by health care providers. It is also important that students understand the importance of understanding and applying good body mechanics when working with patients at all times. This relates to both the student and patient protection and safety.
