TIJ Students - Rotation program to TFJ Foods Lab Area - Knife Safety Lesson - Teaching students how to safely work with a knife and to identify and create the basic cuts in a classic kitchen. This lesson can take between 1-2 classes. Focusing on: Learning the vocabulary of different knife cuts to better be able to communicate in the Foods Lab. Learning how to safely handle a knife and cut without harming oneself. Learning basic knife skills, the foundation of all cooking. Learning how to move safely through the foods lab while holding a knife. This lesson can be done for a TIJ rotation program, or in this case EdVance program, as well as be reviewed or scaled and used in a TFJ2 or TFJ3 course.
