​Cooking Pot Stand (Grade 3)

Challenge Situation:

You are a pioneer who needs a device to suspend a cooking pot over a fire at different heights. Your task is to build a model of a wooden support structure with an arm that:

• is stable
• will extend far enough over the ‘fire’ to safely cook food without burning the support structure.
• is adjustable so that food can be moved closer to the fire or further away from fire as needed
• is made only out of the materials provided.

When you have finished building your model you will be presenting it to your class.
