OCTE Letter to the Minister and Current Status of Technological Education in Ontario

Recently OCTE has written and hand-delivered both a Letter of Concern and report on the Current Status of Technological Education in Ontario (based on a board lead's survey) to Minister of Education Lisa Thompson on behalf of our school boards and teachers. Both the letter and the report voice our concerns over the Ministry's announced changes to classroom sizes and the impact on Technological Education students and programs. Please see these documents below:

Letter of Concern for Minister of Education

Current Status of Technological Education in Ontario

We are currently following up on the letter and has requested a meeting with the Minister of Education to voice these concerns and discuss the future of Technological Education in Ontario. Our Board of Directors are also working on writing and delivering similar letters of concern to local MPPs to increase the impact. We will send an update as soon as it is available.
