CWB Welding Foundation Student Awards!

The CWB Welding Foundation and partners are inviting nominations for 3 awards for exemplary welding students.


The Joseph G Doria Exemplary Student Award is a national award that was established in 2013 to honour the leadership and long-standing contribution of Mr. Joseph G. Doria as Chairman of the CWB Group Board of Directors. Info link to the award is as follows:

The Hugh A. Krentz Student Award was established in 2015 to honor the contributions of Mr. Hugh Krentz as a member of the CWB Group Board of Directors from 1979 through 2010. Info link to the award is as follows:

Lastly, in terms of our awards, our Indspire Indigenous Bursary Award was set up to financially sup-port Indigenous students interested in post-secondary courses, apprenticeships or training related to or leading to careers in the welding and joining industry in Canada. The CWB Welding Foundation has also agreed to help advertise for the Nicole LeClair Welding Bursary Award, which goes to support Ontario Post-Secondary Welding students, so that may be of interest to everyone as well. The link to her award is as follows:
